Welcome to the 25th Annual Irish Invitational.  Linked is the course map (the camp area just south of the dome is not available),  Aerial view of course and Irish Invite History for the Friday, September 4th Irish Invitational.  If there is a new coach for your program, please forward the information and reply to me.  We congratulate Coach Jim Driscoll of Mahtomedi on his retirement.  The Zephyrs were charter members of this meet when six schools participated.

A few notes:

1.  The meet is timed and scored by Wayzata Results.  Registration is through athletic.net.  You must select a race (doesn’t matter which one, any race) for each athlete.  However, you can enter the athlete in whichever race you want on meet day. For example, I could enter Ike Harder in the C race, but still have him compete in the Junior Varsity or Varsity division on race day simply by sending him to the starting line.  

Per MSHSL rules, no 6th graders in the high school races. The Varsity, JV, C, and Frosh races are MSHSL events.

RAAA Mile:  2025 was our 11th kid’s race at the mile distance.  This is a non-MSHSL event. If you have a youth association or know of kids that want to compete, they may register for the RAAA mile.  The races are for grades 6th and under.  Registration will be handled slightly different and not through athletic.net   Use the spreadsheet linked for Wayzata Results to use for the registration. If you have a few individuals, you can register on-site.  The cost is $150 per association (send or give to me or Coach Hatleli at RHS - just trying to offset some costs). If it is just a participant, like a coaches kid, just go get a race number at the event.

2.  The Course is the same as 2025, which consists of grass, gravel, asphalt, turf, and the track.  Rosemount's runners are NOT wearing spikes for this event.  If an athlete wears spikes, please no longer than ¼” since the course uses the track. There will be a mat at the Mile mark for splits. 

2A.  The start and finish are not next to each other.  Stadium seating is open.  Once the lead runners get near the Turf 2 area, spectators will not be able to get through the course gate into the stadium. In 2025, that is a serious choke point.  One option is to take the path just north of the stadium and you can see the finish without going through the gate.

3.  Only the varsity race has a limit of 10 runners per school.  The JV, C, and 9th races are unlimited entry.  You can set your line-up however it works best for your situation.  Don’t feel obligated to fill every race. 

4.  If your school has not paid your entry fee, please have them do so to Rosemount High School.  There is no late charge or anything along those lines, just do your best to be timely.

5.  Results will be live and online at wayzataresults.com

6.  Being Labor Day weekend, we will hand out award shirts at the finish.  

7.  Your race packets will be available near the finish line upon your arrival.  Print your own course maps.  There is not a coaches meeting.

8.  Please - no dogs.  Please let your participants parents/guardians know.

9.  The course is closed for warm-ups from 8:05-8:25 for RAAA Mile.

    The course is closed during races to non-participants.

10.  Team Camps are shown on the map. As noted above, the area that is just south of the dome is not available this year.  That is the future home of our Shot Put and Discus areas.
